Located on the shores of Lac Saint-Jean, the Mashteuiatsh Reserve is surrounded by the City of Roberval and the Municipality of Saint-Prime. It covers a surface area of 15.24 kilometres2. |

Characteristics: |
A Member of the Mamuitun Tribal Council, the community is currently engaged in comprehensive territorial negotiations with the governments of Québec and Canada. Forty-eight percent (48%) of the population is under 35 years of age. Mashteuiatsh is the most populous community. It has developed economic, social and cultural niche markets and has entered into a partnership agreement with Hydro-Québec as part of the hydroelectric project involving the diversion of Manouane River. |

In addition to the basic infrastructures and services, the reserve has a museum and recreational facilities including an arena, and offers several services intended specifically for young people. |
